We give to demonstrate that our devotion to God surpasses our attachment to money. Our giving supports the mission of our church. Ultimately, we give because Christ has given himself for us (2 Corinthians 8:9). Generous giving is a calling for every capable member of our church and can also be a wise expression of financial stewardship for those already committed to supporting their own church communities.
