RHBC Sunday Service

Profile RHBC is the english ministry of Nasung church in La Habra Heights. Although we function as an independent body in areas of worship, membership, teaching and discipleship; we love, support and partner with our Korean ministry.  Age-wise, RHBC worships all together from those in middle school to young families all the way to 50+. This is intentional as we want to encourage family worship. You can expect a welcoming and intimate setting. Sunday morning attendance is between 60-80 people.

God Centered Worship Service (Liturgy) Our service begins on Sunday morning at 11:10am. We encourage all to come into service around 11am to prepare your heart for worship. Our service is led by the pastor/elder and is intentionally God centered and Gospel focused. Our service consists of a call to worship, confession of sin, gospel assurance, proclamation of the word and a response of praise and benediction. All of our service is intended to turn our eyes away from ourselves and the world to fix our eyes on Christ and his word.

(Families, please note that check-in for nursery and children's ministry during the morning service begins at 10:50am.)

Gospel Rich Music The music we sing at RHBC is a blend of older hymns and newer praise songs. Our emphasis is lyrically rich praise songs that lead our hearts to worship Christ. We also focus on congregational singing, which emphasizes the gathered body singing praise to God with one voice, over performed music, which tends to spotlight the abilities of the band.

Expository Christ Centered Preaching  Preaching at RHBC is expositional, meaning that it seeks to declare the main point of a particular bible passage. The preaching is Christ centered meaning we seek to point people to Christ and his redeeming work in every sermon. Sermons usually last around 30-40 minutes. On a regular basis, our sermon series alternate between the Old and New Testaments.

Post Service  A typical service is finished by 12:15 pm. Our Korean Ministry graciously provides lunch each week immediately after the service to encourage fellowship.
